at least I still have the laughter I think of something Cash said and it puts me in a spiral between him and Dylan I should end up somewhere relatively warm like the creamatory my ashes used to filter vodka or light my neighbors BBQ before that happens though I must soften the lights here in purgatory Im waiting on a devil with an empty shotglass that I keep in heavy rotation an hour after check-in, she arrives all legs and sharp edges I place her in an aluminum chair listen to her rattle off through the 21st century eventually I polish off all the booze thats paid for and lead her back to the lions lair not quite yet without sense we light pipes and burn the midnight oil better for her not to look at me like that such things dont serve me so well anymore aside from that, it all goes over rather smoothly no miscues at the turntable or anything of that sort feeling relatively well, my mind drifts off course into the dark waters as she dreams softly upon my chest I scavenge the badlands, shuffle retired dialog and wonder how much more damage I can do to myself before I get the desired results [This message has been edited by Drexler_McStyles (04-29-2003 03:55 PM).] |

pretty grim imagery... and effective in relaying the overall idea here... self destruction comes in many forms... sometimes we just need to ask what is it we are really running from..or punishing ourselves for? good write... I enjoyed |
