Fragrance of cut grass, Blending with fresh blossom winds, Stoop sitters feel sun And a spring day gently ends, Open windows close Muting music on the breeze Scarlet skies background The new greening of the trees, Clouds come rushing in And tomorrow comes the rain, Sitters wish for more the same. Gloom The Stoop is what we here in Baltimore call the front steps on the row houses / town homes. |
