A heavy burden falls upon the bard Who plans to pen a sonnet for his muse-- With every phrase that he, at length, will choose, Comes twice as many more he should discard. His fragile reputation will be marred Should he select a word he shouldn't use; His subject, now subjected to abuse, Will view all fourteen lines with disregard-- And even if the sonnet wins her praise, The praise alone provides no guarantee The sentiment will ever be returned. In spite of this, I know another phrase Will leave my pen for one more muse to see-- Though history has taught, I haven't learned. No it's no guarantee that she will return the feelings, but please don't stop writing for the muse because of this uncertainty! Her task she has fulfilled by inspiring you! Lovingly ... Love, Margherita |

Well now, I may not be the best judge of sonnets, but I know what my heart heard... and I thank you for that! Karilea - if I whisper, will you listen? |

You won't learn...please, don't learn! That's what makes it all so special... |
