Mighty clouds fill the sky this early morn Lit up by the morning sun, to view The white and grey balance Seeming not to move at all Blue sky inks the background Showing off the fluffy pillows of my daydream Slanted squalls on the horizon The needles shoot precipitation Into dark, faraway swells The ocean curiously calm in nature’s scape As if to lie down and let the weather have its glory In lovers’ song Strong winds from the night Renew themselves in late morn Peace does not last long In nature’s realm Play with fire, get it to burn The ocean builds a rage in tune Realization rips away what isn’t needed Observers struggle with the loss It’s a cycle, that’s all But that’s a lot Or is it me In nature’s song Surfers determined to ride out the storm Desire to be one with the ocean No matter her disposition Falling into the roiling embrace of the sea they love Every wave, every tide, every gust, every squall Never to conquer that for which they long The grey clouds slowly drift northward, it’s afternoon The squalls did not reach the shore Fluffy white clouds return to scour away the grey Water blue and frothy white Nature balances her show, and the music Of the ocean song |

Well of course, I had to read this! I love anything to do with the ocean. This was a very nice read, you've obviously been around the water, and you described it perfectly! I felt as if I were there. Great read! ~ Poets cry with words, not always tears, you see. ~ PoetSeaMaiden |

Kahlil ~ Kahlil Gibran is one of my favorite poets, and you appear to share his "poet's soul"! I enjoyed your song of the ocean. I immersed myself in the vivid imagery and the beauty of your words. Warm hugs, EA |

Always a pleasure Kahlil, I think everyone who posted a reply summed it up well. The sea is so magical, its still such a mystery...~Talia |
