Split down in half Carry your staff To the side of your mountain See where it gets you Oh yes I feel too Oh yes we all so much do We share our feelings And divulge emotions So cheaply like a sugar sweet ice cream factory Real intent is falling to nothing Meaning is being trashed of meaning By overbearing thiefs who come so hopefully To amend their lives even partially, ever pathetically Get a grip or this whole thing will sink so deep That the meanings of art will be finally betrayed by its own enemy |

I rarely interpret poems according to poets intent but what this reminds me of was yesterday I posted a pathetic little silly poem (did have some deep meaning, tho. appeared light-hearted) and began reading the likes of Barry and Kathleen and Sy...and almost, felt like I wish I hadn't post my work of art... Yet, what makes this site so wonderful is the love and respect for any writer willing to put their thoughts in poetic form....I felt better, for reading those poets gives me determination to keep trying to improve... and I do get pretty sappy sometimes...but, it is okay, for surprising many relate to over-emotionalism...a place they are or have been... Enjoyed this thinking piece.... Pat ![]() ..without surrender, be on good terms with all persons.. |
