A day of calm,
a drive alone
resolving some issues,
that have lately grown.

The hide of hurt
that seals the pain,
that rise to surface,
no longer contained.

It's how I exist
on my own, controlled.
Not taken for granted
the strength that I hold.

Day after day,
in choices made,
adjusting my life,
to not being afraid.

It's out there, I know it,
those dreams that come true,
and I'll not turn away from
those memories, of new.
