This is quietly amazing I do not know whether I was then a man dreaming I was a butterfly, or whether I am now a butterfly dreaming I am a man. |

Ed...Sometimes the softest touch brings the greatest joy. Tenderness falls from your pen this morning. Tis nice! |

Ed, nicely worded, just as softly written as the feel of her touch. The stars will shine when I am gone, |

I believe that this is the first poem of yours that I have read and I have to say it is terrific. I love the gentleness and loving thoughts. I am going to look for more of your poems. |

Thank you, thank you....When I first joined this group three months ago, I'd never written poetry that expressed my soft side, only the hard masculine stuff. I've always had that side, but now I've learned that it's all right to talk about it. In fact, it feels good. ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸ ¸¸ºº> ~~~(¸¸ER¸¸ºº> |

Ed, you were writing your response to another reply while I was posting my reply. I didn't read what you had written bfore I wrote mine. I'd like to say that I admire a man that has enough confidence in himself to show his softer side. That's one of the many things that I love about my Honey-Love. He writes poetry to me, just like I do to him. Hugs, Ethel |

Yep, and that's what I learned here -- confidence. I had essentially stopped writing, because with no audience I had no confidence. Now I've learned that there's a lot I can do that I have never done before as a writer, and that it's ok. ....including that it's ok to come back and edit, to add that in the last three months, I've written more poems than I had in the previous 30 years... ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸ ¸¸ºº> ~~~(¸¸ER¸¸ºº> ______________Ratleader______________ [This message has been edited by Ratleader (04-27-2003 12:36 AM).] |

This is the kind of reality that dreams are made of. *S* To say this is beautiful is to use an inadequate vocabulary... but you have indeed written a lovely moment of tenderness. *S* |

Oh Ed, this is so soft, so beautiful. I've read a few poems of yours already and I'm fast falling in love with your style and romantic flavour. I'm saving this one as well Melissa~ Intellectually I know that Canada is no better than any other country. Emotionally I KNOW that Canada is the best country in the world! |
