Between a laugh and a tear...

Twenty Five Hundred More

One has to wonder as I venture this way
If there’s really anything more left to say
Twice times one thousand, then half more
You’d have to doubt there could be much more

You’d have to think there’s been too much revealed
Tales of friendships lost, and hearts long sealed
From inner darkness to the stars above
There’s talk of hope and home, of life and love

Like the hoards that swept from the northern lands
Thoughts flowed to life through this shaky hand
There’s been boundaries explored few have seen
But always left to wonder, if it was all just a dream

And now as time flows on, the river runs dry
Another dream dispelled as expectations rise
And with a tear in eye, disjointed thoughts collect
While I’m suspended here, deep in reflect

And now she's in me, always with me, tiny dancer in my hand ~ Bernie Taupin

I have been told more than once, that if you don't have expectations then you can never be disappointed and then when something wonderful comes your way it is a pleasant surprise...for that day.

what a bunch of "crap"

M

whoops, I just noticed  the title and your number of posts...congrats? I guess...

(big hugggsssssss) Know always that the river has its dry seasons but there will come times when the river floods with rapture and you will find some dreams never wither! (sigh) God Bless You, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Eddie, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
