Saluting with misty eyes

0 posted 2003-04-25 12:37 PM

She stood at the foot of my bed
Staring
Watching
Looking to see if I was real
Or if I was a figment of her thoughts
Come to disturb her travels through time
Why did I lay there alone
And why could I not see her thoughts
She had to have wondered about that
Worried that I would break the spell
Cast by those nights of sleepless thoughts
Discussions with myself of her
Dreams of herself with me
Obsessions and crazed beliefs
Pizza and Diet
Turning to meatloaf and pie
Then in an istant she was gone
Did she even exist
Had I been there at all
For now we couldn't know for sure
But we both knew
I would be there when she returned

When the morning cries and you don't know why...

I know exactly how this person feels.  I have had experiences just like it.  Nicely done.

Ringo, why hadn't I seen this one before? You did a great job..this is in reply to my 'museless' ramblings in prose right? Well, you did a great job. And I am glad something I wrote could inspire such a good poem. Thank you.

(big hugggssssssss) Oh Bradly, this is wonderful, sweet friend, this is sad yet offers hope and assurance that many who feel this sweet sorrow will never let go of what they've been blessed with! (sigh) God Bless You, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Bradly, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!
