Voices Raised In Unison Strong feelings course through the heart swelling like the evening tide How does one begin to start that peace in heart can reside To share what breathes its own life grows from the pain of mankind How long must there be such strife while with wars we are resigned The strong must protect the weak from the fear that haunts their lives For a Tyrant we will seek while hope for true peace resides Poets o’er the world will share heartfelt words to ease the pain To let us know hurt they bear while innocence they sustain They take up pen, reach for thought letting passions fill the vein From history they’ve been taught but from that way they refrain Words of peace in poems they spread to all who care to listen With love this path they do tread voices raised in unison Startime |
