on my own and holding the sun in the palms of my hands in the most naïve way feeling sharp pain in blisters left behind well, I have been wintered for longer than time and I’d probably do anything for some warmth even if the warm is actually hot so that emptiness breaks its knots have been imprisoned by feeling of alone for far too long I'm aching to be free yet yearning to be bound by a pair of embracing arms for loneliness is a creep and the price of such a soul is cheap and dirty like water during floods like tears in the rain like gold devalued to dust it is time, like they say to play with wild fire if for nothing but re-ignite the desire to love and be loved to hold the sun in my palms and kiss the sharp tip of the poisoned dart [This message has been edited by Sudhir Iyer (04-23-2003 05:53 AM).] |

nice. A strong write, with a fine use of surrealism for visual effect. Stanza's two and three are as a "shrug" of self explanation, which is on it's own would seem almost apologetic, but with the closing stanzas, there is a sense of fatalism--of embracing destiny no matter what it may be, that underscores determination, with an almost whimsy of recklessness, but coupled with emotional fortitude. Smile. Yep. I got all that out of it. Hugs, Sudhir! ![]() |

![]() (big hugggsssssss) Oh Sudhir, this is wonderful, sweet friend, sadly love has these situations always and I don't want to get burned either, I guess you shouldn't hold the sun but rather fondle it! (sigh) This is excellent, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sudhir, thank you for sharing! ![]() May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton And that's the most wonderful thing about creating. It will always be a mystery. |

Sudhir Time moves so slowly when one is lonely, that to even burn for a minute seems better. Wishing you warmth and the pleasure it brings, soon. Poem emotive and well done! ![]() |

Your viewpoint and your imagery are utterly unique, and so striking that one image of yours (the dart) may have entered my thought vocabulary permanently. This is a fine poem, and I hope you find a way to publish it outside PIP as well. ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸ ¸¸ºº> ~~~(¸¸ER¸¸ºº> |

Sudhir, it appears to me that you would be one to learn how to hold the sun safely. This is brilliant writing, good sir ![]() |
