touches the floor

the timeless ground. My arm
stretching out to touch
just the hem of what you
wear, of what you are.

Do you believe in miracles?

Through the thin, fabric
I feel your energy,
your warmth, your passion.
Oh, to be made whole.
To know the healing flow
of your arms enfolding me,
to hear the silent sway
of your hips against the cloth
telling me of a new resurrection.

The hem of your garment
skimming the floor of my heart,
gently raised up to reveal
the intricate shape of your ankle.
I step within the steps
that you have trodden before.
And, I see a miracle
for you, for me, for us.
