A Triolet - I think I’m seeking the silent solace of my soul, For a life alone I now must chart My love, my mettle is what you stole I’m seeking the silent solace of my soul. I pray the inwardness will make me whole The quiet to unburden my heavy heart. I’m seeking the silent solace of my soul For a life alone I now must chart. |

Dear Dinah, I think this is a lovely triolet. I have not written one for awhile and was wondering if the syllables in each line are limited, but cannot find that they are. I think all the rules have been followed and despite restrictions a lovely poem. Joyce |

(smiles) Oh Das, this is wonderful, sweet friend, this is a beautiful uplifting poem and the solace you find will always be lying there like a water lily in your hearts oasis! (kiss on cheek) God Bless You, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Das, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Good grief what on earth is a Triolet, some I can figure out, some I can't. Nice write, so many different types of poetry for me to look up today. Love reading all these great writes. |

Nice job Spirit. Not sure what a triolet is either, but I know I liked this. I had to laugh at Flower's response. It's one thing to look them up, it another whole thing to write the different types of poems. Geez!! Hugs, Marti Few are those who see with their own eyes and feel with their own hearts. A.Einstein |

I read about Triolets so decided to try and write one, it was a fun exercise. I appreciate the comments. |
