Sitting here,
mindful of layers
and how my hands
can be folding a thin
slice of paper,
while my mind is unfolding
cuffs and unbuttoning a shirt front,
and I breathe, once again,
the scent of your tall,
and soften, once more
in the blue of your eyes,
tremble, once more,
in your touch...
and tear, once more,
in the depth of your love...

sitting here,
mindful of layers...

loving you
even more.
