When I was little I liked to eat alphabet soup, so that I could play with my food and not get into trouble. But of course, I got in beaucoup doodoo anyway when my mom read the messages in my bowl. To this day I remember a few words I spelled out that would show up as ***!!!!###@@@!! if this server's word checker got hold of them in a Pips post. I never really ate any of the alphabet soup, preferring plain tomato with grilled cheese, if you please. But it sure was an educational adventure at the table, and it helped me zoom two grades ahead in my reading level. What did you do with your soup? |
