After a Friend's Attempted Suicide |

Had I heard the sounding siren Signaling a need for urgent action, Nothing could have stopped or stalled me. Sadly, I was busied elsewhere, out of earshot. What excuse, then, have the heavens? What required their rushing rescue More than she, who surely could have died? That she didn’t doesn’t get them my forgiveness. Sometime later I’ll be sinning; Still, these thoughts will keep me quite complacent: I can wash my back, and briskly, Ridding all bacteria from its farthest reaches Though I never see its surface; I can wipe the rolling water Well before it falls onto the floor, Making me as able as an erring angel. This is always a horrible thing. Making the loved ones wonder if they could have helped prevent it. "To be in love with love is truly to love".....by Paladin |

Thankfully it didn't happen so there's room to reflect and write....This is an open expression of your feelings. Thanks for sharing. The best teachers have the biggest ears |

Very sad write. I lost my girlfriend due to suicide so I know how you feel. *crys* :'( I have often wondered if I could have prevented it, and there might have been that chance she didnt commit suicide if I had noticed the signs that she was not herself. I just thought it was PMT. I was wrong. |
