Suddenly and Finally

Impatience of youth
Expressed
In daydream doodles…

Just the words…
Suddenly
Finally
Written over and over

Wanting a break from
The school day routines,
Bored with sitting in class,
The healthiness of youth
Clamoring for activity...

Not knowing that
Life can change too quickly,
Be undone
in the blink of an eye.

Suddenly
can mean trauma.

Life is fragile
And needs to be cherished.

Finally
With the passing of years
I know that life is about loss
That grief is the expression of loss
And the best way to live
Is just to appreciate

Who we are
What we have

And to know
That is enough.

And more than enough.

We all have so much and it too often goes underappreciated. Very wise words, Bridget. I'll keep them in mind.

Bridget Shenachie,
A style I could never attempt done so well. Excellent.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Hello Louise

I applaud you and the important message portrayed through your words.  Too many of us take things for granted instead of stopping to smell the roses.  Life for most people is at such a fast pace and I think we all need to slow down in more ways than one.

Knowing what brings this about,
knowing how sometimes, truth is so hard
to write about
when it is so personal...

makes this more than a

It validates what is between us.
