Listening to every heart

0 posted 2003-06-10 11:16 AM

This…

Is the poets’ bench

Where friends shall come
One, by one,
To sit with me, and envision
Sun…

We shall sit, our time
To meet,
And welcome day’s break,
In silent greet

This, this

Is the poets’ bench

Where laughter, heard,
Is time well spent,
Where promises
Are penned in
Poetry,
Here, we’ll sit, under
Our Willow’s tree…

With memories,
Sharing histories,
Laughing our thrills,
In tears of sea…

For salt is blessed
In each holy hold,
The tears of poets,
Drops of gold.

For they encompass
What we are,
And we’ll wave the sun to set,
So may rise, our stars.

~*~

I've recently been blessed
by the many friendships here
among the poets...I so enjoy welcoming
our new members, encouraging our
seasoned poets...helping where I can
when I can...

To see poems about me...
and comments by you...

are very humbling.

Thank you...all of you...for reading,
enjoying, encouraging, helping,
writing, especially for YOUR writing...

and for making Ron's home
a castle....
from sticks and stones.

This is a wonderful tribute to all of your poet friends here at Passions and I thank you for the graphics and the sweet thoughts.
I have to say that you are definitely appreciated for your love and friendship the very same way....right back at you!

I don't get around here as much as I'd like to but when I do I find the same beautiful friends still here expressing themselves with wonderful poetic language.

So thank you both ways!

Graceful writing from the heart of a gracious poet! How I would love to join you on that poets' bench to welcome breaks of day, share our stories, and to hear the voice of the glorious sun....

~ May your Light shine forevermore,

Kitten's fur is not so warm
Arms of love have not the charm
Reach of lovers are not so gentle
Isles of palms are not so sunny
Longest beaches not so welcoming
Eager children have not the joy
As you who lift us all

No dear friend....it is us that is blessed,
far more than this multitude can ever bless
you.  You are the flake of snow that lands
on a lid,  leaving that soft kiss...which
shall never be forgotten.

and
with the shine from the sun
will the words flow
like rays of the divine

poets, writers,
wordsmiths and all
and a bunch of kind readers too
all willingly follow the path
clearly shown
by fields of gold
over miles and miles of green

soon one day
the green would fade
into dusty brown
for that is but nature's decree
yet, still sooner
would the rains fall
cleansing the dust
and bringing on
fresh green rushes
miles of which
would then write
to their hearts desire

and thus
the cycle shall go on
and we all shall remain
constantly blessed

just like you
and the whole bunch of us
since you grace us,
O shine from the sun

And as the sun rises
to greet her poet today
it is indeed my privilege
to her what she has to say

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

K...give me the directions to the bench.  Shall I bring a picnic lunch?

You have to be precise in those directions, too.  I get lost in my own backyard!

Just beautiful

This bench is not meant for two
if we're to fill the poet's heart of you.
We need more benches don't you see,
For the willow tree bench is meant for me!

Oh that bench has my name on it!

This was truly lovely m'friend.

It is quite an honor to be invited. It is quite an honor to contribute to the encouragement of so many poets, and it is quite an honor to help build a castle out of sticks and stones...

Mysteria, you're never to worry...that bench will always be there for you.

Blankets and chairs
and benches we'll find,
our poets shall come
and share their minds...

we'll greet the sun,
and toast the noon,
then count the stars
as we cheer the moon...

Poets all, we're chroniclers of time
with Reflections shown by poets' rhyme...
