I was listening to a recording of Saul Williams and i almost felt as if i was hypnotized by his words. In this trace, I wrote the following poem. I smoked my share of trees but failed to see the forest Or hear the chorus in the breeze that caught my stare And I was caught in a snare upon God’s very doorsteps When I crucified myself on the cross and the blood loss Made me hallucinate. I started to lose my faith, so I unveiled My heart and set my faith loose like a dog from a leash And followed each wish while chasing my tail. I stepped into the river to be baptized, but soon realized That the feathers on my wings became fetters And I started to sink under the strain until I clogged the drain, And I woke up covered in ink like an unread letter. I remembered later I ran out of paper and used bed-covers for sonnets To restlessly profess my love for poetry until I was drained… Check out my poetry here: http://www.unknownpoets.com/db/authors/master [This message has been edited by Master (06-10-2003 03:44 AM).] |

If this is what you do when semi-conscious, then you need to trance out as often as possible. This is one of the best writes I've seen on here. Day after day I'm more confused, |

Breathtaking. I may have to trade Johnny Walker in for Saul Williams. This read like violins. |
