Where Has She Gone? |

Where Has She Gone? Where has she gone, I beg you please? I thought I saw her here Among the barren winter trees On footpath of a deer She lives in fantasies, you know Her mind lost in a dream That dwells in splendors of the snow And flowing mountain stream What happened to the girl who stands And gazes at the sea? I saw her walking on the sands In pure serenity So mesmerized by waves untamed, In flowing rhythmic sounds Where fingerprints of God are shown In wonders that abound Where is the youthful silhouette Who lifts ingenuous eyes To watch a sinking sun beget Allure of shimmering skies? The girl who watched in pure delight The ocean waters churn Walked silently into the night And never did return For she’s a woman now of age Who never strolls the strand She writes her footsteps on a page Once traced in dreamer’s sand Elizabeth Santos [This message has been edited by Elizabeth Santos (06-09-2003 02:06 PM).] |

Where is the youthful silhouette Who lifts ingenuous eyes To watch a sinking sun beget Allure of shimmering skies? She may be gone... but her image still appears in those footprints. *S* Very beautiful!! |
