Between Life and Death Yesterday my heart slept, And in-between beats it wept, I imagine it dreamed of love…, But if that is true Why is my pillow soaked in pain? Today my heart awoke And in-between sobs it smiled, I imagine it found hope…, But if that is true Why is my pillow soaked with fear? Tomorrow my heart died And in-between breaths it sighed I imagine it never found love…, But if that is true Why is the other pillow soaked with tears? Marcel |

Ah the longing for love ... who knows better than the pillows? A very lovely poem! Love, Margherita |
