I watched her as she walked away, I really couldn't blame her. I've never been the man I should have been. I was always on the road somewhere, Each time she really needed, A confidant, a lover, and a friend. I may have made a living- But there's more to life than money. A woman needs some real security. I often brought her roses, And some time I took her dining, The thing she never had, I guess, was me. It was work, or it was wandering, Some times I just ignored her. She tried to warn me of what lay ahead. I guess I didn't listen- Or did I not believe her? I'm sleeping in a lonely king-size bed. Now all I have is pictures, A box of sad, old memories, Of how life was, and how it might have been. Take stock before you lose her, Rethink the things that matter, A piece of good advice for you, my friend. |

John, i couldn't agree more, i too think we have to readjust and shape ourselves to keep the link between those we love. those we love also help us realise our faults don't they. i hope you're smiling through life now, putting into practice what you now know and that this isn't a current heartache, as you clearly deserve to b happy. thought provoking write john. much love, gemma xxxxx |
