You flip the switch
and watch the roaches
scatter back towards
the cracks

Raising your arm
in your best Heston
parting red sea
impression
you'll laugh though
you want to cry

The tears will come later
in rememberance
of all you've had to
walk through

But for now
you get what you came for
a drink before bed

You'll sleep tonight
and pray you wake
in a better day
in another place

I remember those nights~  I'm a bit more careful when flipping the switch, and just keep praying that I'll find my way in the dark.

Peace Raph~

I hate roaches. LoL I would have gone back to bed and said to heck with the drink. Great write.

My skin is still crawling just thinking about what you have to endure! I cannot even bare writing that name of those insects!
You're a very brave soul! I suppose if they did pay part of the rent, their presence could be somewhat more tolerable!

Sending you lots of protective White Light,

Raph:

how I have missed your daily inspirations . . .

The problem is that most of the time
they catch me barefoot -
you know caught by surprise

Just when you think they have gone
and left you alone -
here they come a creepin
and I'm not talkin bugs . . .
but you already know that

Love the Heston reference . . .
(I havent seen that in sooo long)

I wrote one called "BUGS" . . .
I'll have to go and tweak it up a bit
(get one of those HUGE flyswatters
you know they come with a big bug?
Next time someone jacks with you -
hit them with it lmao -
just walk around with it all the time -
I bet they'll leave you alone then)

Seriously ( I was serious)
I have missed you
and this is a brilliant write
to return with
I know it too well . . .
very insightful Raph
truly
xxoo

I didnt catch that the first time around - you know what is really funny is Heston is portraying Moses, who is Jewish  - you know like the movies with the white guy playing an Indian . . . same thing -

funniest movie you ever saw . .  what prey tell do you watch for cartoons?
