"The Softest Truth of All"

I first knew her
when she was beautiful.
The many days we spent together,
the years that have passed,
have taught me one thing . . .
the softest truth of all is love,
and her love was a blessing
on my soul.
I suppose God needed her
more than I,
but if he had only asked,
I’d have told him -
No, you don’t.
She’s needed here,
she’s a light in the dark,
she helps us all see,
she’s the softest truth of all,
and the truth she shares is you -
But I guess God needed her
more than I, a reaffirmation
of the softest truth of all . . .
Love.

You have brought tears to my eyes with your soft truth.  I am sorry for your loss, but she is there with Him in all his glory and her beauty.  But you know that.

May God Bless

You wrote with such depth of emotion and gentleness. Yours and the world's loss was Heaven's gain. Her memory lives on through you and throught others whose lives she touched.

Love & Eternal Light,

That was absolutely heart-wrenching.  It's always a sad experience to have to let go of someone and not know why.  I know how you feel having lost someone very close to me a couple years ago.  The sad thing is, when I knew him, I had no idea he was sick.  Just goes to show you that you can put all of your trust in GOD and still not know his master plan.  But your poem expressed it best.

What a special moment in time we spend with someone who not only captures our heart, but shares with us faith.  Smiles, TD
