Inside the shadow's shadow

Her charcoal fingers are steaming
Screaming
Streaming tears.
Tired of waiting for the fears to disappear...

She's tired of writing this trivial nonsense
It fixes nothing
And the cough always returns.
The burn
Sizzles deeper
And the rain
Drizzles longer.

Where do you go
When the same raincloud
Has been following you for years
And you can no longer taste the difference
Betweeen the salt and the acid?

Fasten your seatbelts,
We're running from
Once again.

I do not know whether I was then a man dreaming I was a butterfly, or whether I am now a butterfly dreaming I am a man.
