Photo From Signatures For You ~*~ Beauty Is all around If we will only look We can find it within most things In some things we may have to look harder Still is usually somewhere If found, is put by God For us to find Beauty ~*~ Goodness Within people Most times can be found in Though we may have to look closer Some people build a wall around themselves Trying to hide inner feelings To avoid getting hurt As in the past Goodness ~*~ The truth how we see it May be differently Someone else may not see the same That is why people should communicate To find out the different views Of how to see something Learning what is The truth ~*~ |

I really enjoyed these, Ethel... Part of being a poet is trying to find the beauty in life around us. I have been trying to do that more and more. If we keep our eyes open, there is beauty in even a common tree. (Is there really such thing as a common tree?) “We are all travelers in the wilderness of this world, and the best that we can find in our travels is an honest friend.” –Robert Louis Stevenson [This message has been edited by El_Campeador (06-03-2003 02:37 PM).] |

El_Campeador, I'm glad that you liked them. Yes, isn't it amazing how poets can find beauty in such ordinary things as a tree? You're right, though, is there such a thing as a "common tree"? There are no two trees exactly alike...just as there are no two people exactly alike. I have twin nephews who are identical....in most ways. But, when someone is around them for very long, they can see the uniqueness in their actions...but also in their "identical" looks. Thanks for reading and replying. Hugs Ethel |

Thank you, Linda. Now, you are the "Queen", though. Yours are so full of meaning. I need to take lessons from you. Hugs Ethel |

Wow Ethel, it is one thing to bring these words forth from your heart, but to give them this extra eye appeal, takes a real talent. A wonderful mix of design, and verse! This is Special! Very Nice Work Ethel, Richy |

You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Ethel, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton Underneath your clothes, there's an endless story |
