To quell the hunger pains She roams throughout the night. She walks dusty lanes Guided by pale of moonlight, Only distance gains A bit farther each dim night, Till morning shines through Then search for fuel to fire, She must continue, Lacking submissions desire, “Exist Ravenell,” Voices whisper to her mind, Whose she can’t tell, They come in desperate times, As she digs the earth, As she gleans in foreign fields, As she doubts her worth When so meager efforts yields. She soundlessly goes, To a place only God Knows. Gloom |

I was trying to resist the urge, but couldn't, so I MUST ask: "Are you talkin' to ME? Are YOU? talkin' to me?" (serenity looks around) "Y'MUST be talkin' to me, 'cause there's no one else here!" okay, okay, that was my bad DeNiro imitation?(hey, in my own defense, I ask ya? Have you ever seen a GOOD one?) You are quite remarkable yanno, and what I love about replying to you is that you know that I know that! still can't find that rhythm, but I did want you to know, I'm working on it. |

Thank you, Serenity, Pleased it touched you, but it’s not about you, Just another figment of my demented imagination, The actual inspiration is from the Biblical reference of Ruth, But only vaguely at that. You are very kind in your praise. As for the rhythm, look in that jar on the shelf, Or maybe beneath your pillow You’ll find it. Gloom |

oh my... grin. now I KNEW, that. (sometimes I just borrow poetry, quite personally--my apologies--I thought that was what it was FOR.) |

Speaking of borrowing I borrow a thought from you in my response to Simple Simon. So I know all about the borrowing of thought, and it's a good thing. Where forth ever inspiration comes Gloom |
