boom
baby
(count to eight)
like the razor
across sky
in reverse
of what was heard
and what is there
in proof of eye.

boom
baby boom again
let the voices
over-ride
the ear that speaks
the sane refrain
and taunts you
with the same
old lies.

Demons boom
they summon ye,
as they pace this talk:
"embrace the darkness--
take the walk."
and quiver, still in depths of Hell
in the beckon's curl of grin;
"Come ye," snarls the ferryman.."

"Welcome to your world."

A standing 8 count? Weebles wobble, but they don't fall down.

Nice to see ya back....

Karen...You already know how I 'see' this one, but I'll
say it again.  This just begs to be 'chanted' around
a huge bonfire.  Its rhythm and flow is just haunting...
I couldn't stop reading it...over and over and over...'chanting'...
Very cool, lady.

"...until you have read the verse on his heart,
you have not truly met the poet.

I think I am going to listen to some Dr. John.

...and watch the sights that fill my nights as flights of wights dance rites with lights and scale the heights around my weary head...

First they gotta catch me!

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Thank you all for reading, and for letting me KNOW you have read. I blush-n-curtsey.
