This life has been so filled lately, that very little has been written. However, I had to share this one that came to me this morning via the blessings of day's commencement. btw...all of you that reached down and picked up "I Got Mooned" long after it was posted, thank you so much for reading and for your wonderful words and encouragement! Sincerely, Virginia It Slips In the cool of a late spring morning slips in around my ankles then whispers up my frame its blessings sun filters through the leaves, the blinds, graying the shadows with its diffusion a profusion of bird song hearkens the tendermost pieces of my heart inching the start of a serenity most profound were it not for the blessings within moments like these, would I not perish of anguish from the oppressions of a world all too often gone wild? yet, He, in His awesome omnipotence, through the omniscience of His very nature, soothes my soul, quells the weariness of my mind, and fills my heart with the thrilling essence of His creation can you not sense it? can you not experience the ebb and flow of the balance of the beauty of the Earth? is there not a gentle tickling of mirth within your being, from seeing, feeling, tasting, hearing, yes, even smelling the wondrous aroma of His love? ©June 1, 2003 Whether on the shoal or on the shore, |

Omnipotence is a cool word! It's great to use big words in your poetry! Keep Smiling! |
