I hated that last chapter...
the one that foretold
the closing of the book
of our love affair.

I had a different ending in mind.
No, it wasn’t one of roses and honeydew.
But it was a whole lot more pleasant
than the ending you wrote for us.

Hearing the walls echo my screams
at night doesn’t help me sleep.
But I would have it
no other way.

For to forget
you
would be the death of my soul,
and it’s not ready to go just yet.

But some nights the wall
screams too loudly and
I curl up fetal,
remembering

the way you held me
before the walls of our love
crumbled into dust
with a silent cry.

Funny,
I had always thought
walls coming down imagery
would be positive.

Another testimony that love is a game of win or lose...like a baseball game...sometimes you win and sometimes you lose...to believe otherwise will guarantee disappointment...James

(big hugggsssssssss) I like the way James pointed it out, if one truly thinks love is perfect, then that person is one sad soul; love MUST be true, honest, and faithful, yet we all make mistakes hat are not out of dishonesty and that makes the adventure of love so much more healthier as we have the ability to exercise with the tools of virtue! (sigh) God Bless You, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Kacy, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Thanks to each of you.
Though this is an ache from the past, it still lingers.

Some cuts never completely heal  Sometimes it is good to open the windows of the soul and let the wind blow through even if it brings a little rain.

Thank you for sharing this.

Heartachingly real! I think you need to write a new chapter.

Kacy, have you ever seen the movie, “It Happened One Night” with Clark Gable and Claudette Colbert?

(One of my favorites)

Your poem reminded me of their, “Walls of Jericho.” I won’t tell you what happened in the end, in case you haven’t seen it.

You wrote:

“I hated that last chapter...
the one that foretold
the closing of the book
of our love affair.”

Hey, who ever said that the story of our life had to be contained in one book?

Heck, make it a whole library!

I hope your well on your way to,

“The Guiding Light Of The Midnight Sun Volume II”

Coming to the bookshelves of Barnes and Noble, soon...

I really enjoyed this one Kacy,

Richy
