the wisdom was wicked
I took it from a signpost
for my ale skinned lover
bartering with a cuban over it
just a few centavos
separated the two us
and I could see
that uncle sam had betrayed me again
his hand is always in the wool
shaping sunglasses for the masses
or using the rest of the globe
as a urinal
anyhow
I made my way back to the studio
and there she lie
sewing snaps onto her purses
with a glass of red
keeping her company
I handed her the blouse
with the casual infliction
of my style
luckily both it
and I
were well received
yes, things got intertwined
straps and snaps
onto the floor
curtains left unchecked
deadbolts preaching cautionary tales
of overzealous neighbors
we didn’t heed to any of it though
and why should we
nothing of interest
ever comes from caution

the day may come calling
but only the cat
chewing on the chamomile
will pause to notice

sounds as if you don't want to watch after much of anything

"curtains left unchecked
deadbolts preaching cautionary tales
of overzealous neighbors
we didn’t heed to any of it though"

if it were up to you, my plants would be all the cat ate. we would be too busy, um, drinking, that's it.

cactus? Here in New Orleans we are quite convinced that roaches rule.

(and here in New Orleans, they do.)

still lurking about, Drexler. Still enjoying.
