A Lack of Me

If I were to disappear
from the face of the earth
would you miss me?
Would you search for
me desperately?
Would a lack of me
be a loss to you?

or...

Would you go about
your business
as if I meant
nothing to you
and whistle a
happy tune

thankful...

that we were
through.

Great writting, I guess we all want that question answered. We all have the need to feel loved and missed and would like to think we would be if we were gone in an instant. Very well asked

James, I have wondered if a certain someone would miss me....nope they didn't. Then came my now hubby, and he even misses me if I am on the puter reading Pip poetry for too long!! lol. Good write. Chris

Thank you Maureen, helen, ethome, carol, whiskey, Nightshade, Enchantress and passing shadows...
I've been exploring these question with some of my friends and so far two out of seven have managed to convince me that they would miss me...I didn't just come out and ask them either...I took some actions that required some actions on their part...its nice to be missed...but I still want to be missed some more...James
