For You Are The Lord My God

Oh my Lord, my God, I pray,
I shall not live in fear
My trust, I put in you alone
For your Spirit is with me here.

Though at times, I am overwhelmed
By troubled waters that are deep;
I know that you will save me, Lord
For I am yours to keep.

In fiery trials and tribulations,
You are my faithful guide…
You're my high tower and my strength,
In your presence I will hide.

Though the flames do kindle upon me,
I will put my faith in you
You are Jehovah Nissi
And your promise are true.

For you, my beloved Father,
Have taught me from your Word
And I do choose to receive it now,
For it is the truth I’ve heard.

The promise for abundant life,
A covenant cut for me
My redemption by the blood of Christ,
And your love that set me free.

So… To you, my Lord, my God and King
I will praise you with my voice
I will celebrate for eternity
For in You I do rejoice!

This is a truly inspirational writing. I love this so much. Oftentimes, when the sorrows of life come upon us, we forget our Lord is there with us. Like a good parent, he never forsakes his children. You sing his praises in beautiful verse. God bless you for sharing his love through your eyes.
