Meet On The Net Ever wonder who you might meet on the internet You never know who or what is on the other side But sometimes you meet someone you won't forget Maybe a person you won't feel like you need to hide That person might turn out to be a best friend Or they might even turn to be an intimate friend You'll never know until you start to talk to them And you befriend them by just listening to them They may not have a friend that is real close by Or they might be a type of person that is too shy They come on-line to talk since no one can see Just how they are afraid of reality Some don't take criticism or rejection So they feel safer at home under protection They feel safer so they open up more And they are more like themselves than ever before They tell things that they might need to express But are too afraid to say with others around them They might even tell you all their wishes Because they know you won't judge them You see you might not be able to see that person But just being there to talk to them brightens their day You give that person a joy and a reason To live another day |

I know exactly what you mean as well. So true, the friends we can make or the love given to a shut-in, but I would be remiss to remind you there are also predators out there.... you talk long enough to some strangers and you feel like they are family... AND THEY ARE NOT AND THEY MEAN YOU HARM.. Okay, end of my lecture.... Yes, I've met some very lovely people here at PIP, for one place ...and another beautiful site: ~By His Side~: a lovely place to go for prayer and uplifting thoughts. Thank you for this, Hugs, Pat |
