A fragile moment out of fit Fragments fly and logic flit Toppled blocks of granite found Midst a square un-mastered sound Thought is light Horizons dark A fruited plate Unpeeled and stark The brisk imbibed against stone tongue Commingling verbs spit nouns among A single moment out of fit As time aligned the fall of it As struck on clock and bell to toll Faint prayer enchants time’s weary soul A foundling in the world of once But called in taps too wise or dunce A fragile moment stands alone Unknowing of the part to drone Which twist to turn or key to keep But change at impasse, cast out deep Copyright Kkh 5/27/03 |

I'll be coming back for another read, Kathleen...this has corners and turns and whips you around in a whirlwind... |
