It Must Be Poetry!

At first I thought it be an
attack of middle aged blue.
What is the age of middle age now?
I haven’t got a clue.
Then with intense introspection,
a magnification of my life,
I hypothesized that it must be
I'm no longer that man’s wife.
No, I shook my head and proceeded
my analysis once more.
It’s like a near-death experience
that rocks your very core.
An absolutely strange phenomenon
that has come over me;
I see my life so clearly now,
I know...It Must Be Poetry!
I put that part of me on the
back burner for so long.
Although I wish I hadn’t, there’s
still time to write that wrong
For they're mine to give away,
these words that flush my mind,
And the more I give away, it seems,
the more inner peace I find.
Written in indelible ink, I promise
to never again be blind
Poetry is part of me and my words
are that which bind.

It must be.

I don't know if I have ever read your work before, so let me give you an extremely belated welcome, Lady.

I believe that EVERYTHING in life has the potential to be poetry.

You could hurt me with your bare hands. You could hurt me using the sharp edge of what you say. JEWEL

We spend our youth, trying to climb that mountain, all uphill. The beginning of middle age, is simply when we finally reached the top. From here on out. Enjoy the view, the rest of your life, will be a nice leisurely stroll. Along beautiful vistas, and cobble stoned paths.

Finally giving one the time, if need be, to still, “write” any wrongs...

As always, Patricia,

Another wonderful write!

(big hugggsssssssss) Yes, and poetry is in everyones heart from the start, for we all possess the beauty, just captivating it is what divides us as some choose to see while others fear going blind! Patricia, this is wonderful, your giving of self through your words is not only good for you but for us all. Poetry, what a great tool of expression, what a great outlet for our grief and showcase of our happiness, thank you for sharing my friend, may the poetry stay with you. Take care.

Sincerely
Rick
