Hero Worship

He was fluid

beneath flat,
blue lines,
defying the wood pulp’s
chemistry.

Even now
he haunts these pages -
turns,
in a phrase,
dances
in the depth of a view.

It’s a mind trick.
It is not he,
but spurious bards
composing
lifeless tomes,
the darkest of tones.

My eyes want him to arise
from the emerald angles
of his prism-prison,

to write in -
jousting black (k)nights,

to ride in

wearing white.

I really liked this. The way you described a hero was great.

If anyone
can bring him back
you can
make him rise
again...

Well done, Cor...

The search for the white knight...on the right night.

You have so much depth perception..
Thanks for the glimpse into your mind.

It is fascinating Corinne~

YES! you've captured him, here!

Thank you all!

Deer - you rascal!

Yep, we could use a poetic hero or two!

Sometimes the white Knight hero is necessary, like a good cigar Ve need our belief in his heroism, but isn't it the black Knight that sparks our curiosity as this write may or may not hint at.
Of course as I aways say sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.

...My eyes want him to arise

of his prism-prison.

Interesting verse hear, hope he escapes this prison.
