There’s too much pain Too much hate Why is everyone So quick to berate There’s no more love No one can ever relate Why is everyone so quick to berate they knock a man down trying to stand on his own Leaving him broken, battered Bloodied, cold and alone Lying there wondering “why’d this happen to me did they want to hurt me because of all my beliefs?” people don’t think first they’re only quick to react destroy what is different and never look back hate’s the fuel now apathy’s all it’s about reason is out the door love’s getting snuffed out why is this violence the only way to react the only way to be heard is with the sound of a gat what about “love thy brother” does that mean anything now oh wait it’s too simple to be understood now There’s too much pain Too much hate Why is everyone So quick to berate There’s no more love No one can ever relate Why is everyone so quick to bring hate Fear destroys the mind, depression destroys the soul... only love and compassion may save you from death. |

Yes, we are way too quick to hate. It is because we are so selfish enough to think that we've got the corner on truth, and we forget what it means to love our neighbor as ourself. “We are all travelers in the wilderness of this world, and the best that we can find in our travels is an honest friend.” –Robert Louis Stevenson |
