Finding My Way

today
I must celebrate
who I am
no one
defines me…
but me
I am the orchid
in the wild
tender blooms
on strong stalk
where lightening struck

sending shivers
down my spine
making me fall
to my knees

Awesome write. And this is the way it is supposed to be. I was defined by my husband and thus became his definition. It took 16 long years to realize I was not what he defined me to be. Now I define myself. I am who I am not what he thinks or desires me to be. He didn't like that...so he left. But guess what? I like who I am...for the first time in many years, I know the real me and I like what I see.

So, you go girl! This is wonderful and touched me so.
