When Balladeer was ten years old
He thought he had it made.
He'd finally completed
His years in second grade.

His life was always kind of sad,
(His weight-his looks and clothes)
Last one picked on baseball teams,
And first to pick his nose.

When he turned twelve a child was born,
Toerag was his name,
An unusual baby boy,
(Had a penis AND a brain)!

Now Toe grew up quite popular,
A boy with looks and charm,
Cared for those less fortunate,
Protecting them from harm.

When Toe turned twelve and graduated,
From a college way back east,
He heard of Balladeer the scorned,
Whom everyone had teased.

'Deer was bussing tables,
At "Al Sharpton's House Of Soul"
Making less than legal wage,
But had no place to go.

Toe took Balladeer,
Beneath his caring wing
Taught him to write poetry,
Then taught him how to sing.

He soon became an expert,
Sang at church and then on stage,
He wrote a book of poetry,
With "delight" on every page.

Toe got him on a talent show,
Where he had no chance of 'losin'
He's now the American Idol,
And he's changed his name to 'Ruben'

ROFL... Yanno... I never once suspected... I never dreamed Bal had a voice like that! LOL Why heck... I even VOTED for him! LOL

Once again, sweet Toe, you've put aside your natural shyness and humility and allowed us a glimpse into what a magnificent, generous character Toe really is... and how much Bal owes to your guidance! LOL And you've done so hilariously... great job! *S*

(Maybe I'll get to hear his retort first hand... ya think? LOL Y'all don't have too much fun without me... 'kay? *S*)

Toerag,
If you are taken, do you have a brother with the heart you have?  Taking a nose picking kid like Balladeer underwing, and giving him the chance he needed, indeed, you should be commended.

Toe, thanks for being the special you that you are!

Toe, poor lil ole Balladeer is so blessed
to have someone so compassionate, caring,
big-hearted, and with such a brain as yourself
watching out for him so carefully for all these years.
You deserve a great big hand for that...   LOL
Thank you, Sir

garyswgirl...I don't know if he deserves a  big hand or not but at least he deserves a finger!

Toerag, I appreciate your taking me under your wing but I wish you would have used a little more Right Guard!

You done real good here, lugnut. I may not be the American Idol but I know I'll always be yours
