Like The Rain I'm in a cloudy state of mind just like the sky Both being strong leaving no room for release Allow me to roam yesterday's valley for a while As I did the day before I went to sleep... I'm already there in the midst of new direction Every footprint I've engraved I've done with grace Oh, I just refuse to crawl if I don't have to If I can move a little with tomorrow's pace... I must doubt that I'm aware of heavy waters Just like the rain that leaves the flesh ever wet I refuse to show the dampness on these cheeks I just can't provide the proof that you left... Today's path is gentle and how kind it's been And, I'd only like to acknowledge the mighty sun So, understand if my knees never touch this ground For, I refuse to view us all but minus one... Heart wide open to dismiss any storm that happens by I refuse to live with these days in a constant sigh Oh, I just refuse to hear the sound of you gone So, I'll remain above these clouds as I have all along... Like the rain that has nowhere to go but down Then, may this search for peace keep me on dry ground But, should I become weak allow your memory to catch me So, I don't fall like the rain should the clouds break free...
