I wonder why I still bother
to use my passion and anger
arguing with you?
Same patterns
distract you from what I'm saying clearly
and I thought that I tossed hope
a long time ago.
But still you get to me
in the most simple
and infuriating way.
All paths lead to misunderstanding
and then you ask
if we can still make it
if I am sure
this
is what I want.
I'm choking here on lost hope
and a sadness that will not be quenched
and you wonder if I really want
to be misundertood for a lifetime
to watch you butcher my words
until death do us part
for who we are
to be totally lost
in too much competition to win
instead of resolve?
Ohhh..what you do to my heart
in your attempt to
fix
instead of
listen
and how these tears just can't come any harder
than they are right now.
til death do us part
til pain does our hearts rip apart.
You slipped in your grip on me
when you stopped holding to that listening side
and I fell
broke my heart in the slow
agonizing
plummet
and you watched me
you denied the truth of it
until broken love
sprayed the blood of loss
over your walls of self deception.
and now
you ask if I am sure this is what I want
a wall between us
the rest of our lives without each other?
Without the same patterns
that we both became guilty of?
Yes
because I can do without old patterns
that you won't repair
and the tears can't come any harder in my soul
than they are right now.
And you ask if this is what I really want.
