Longing

In an attempt to redeem myself
and all the passions within,
I find the courage to speak out
and reveal myself to him.

May I unleash a part of me
that I never allow to show;
Unveil all my little secrets
that within my heart does grow?

If I reveal to you tonight
just what my heart aches for;
Will it matter to you my friend
and will my heart ache no more?

I long for tender yesterdays
and many willful tomorrows.
I long for gentle warm todays
without a hint of sorrow.

I long for all the bluebird's songs
outside my window pane.
I long for the joy and laughter
of children as they play in rain.

I long for the hint of lavender
to arouse all of my senses;
as that of a lover's first kiss
and to let go of my defenses.

To unleash all that I'm hiding
is the deepest of desires.
Within this passionate woman
is a burning, raging fire.

Alas, my heart it is redeemed
yet I remain a prisoner of fate;
and very carefully...I
wipe the dust from his portrait.

Quatro, that was a very tender and bittersweet poem. I hope that as much of the things you long for, come true.

Take Care,

Richy
