Toerag and his wife went down to Mexico to play
And found a little restaurant at the close of their first day.
Toe studied Spanish menus though he didn't speak the lingo
And tried to look much smarter than the average poor dumb gringo.

Next to their table sat a man who had been served a plate
Of noodles, rice and meatballs and the dish looked really great!
A snow-white bed of rice with noodles on it, slightly brown
And two huge meatballs placed on top with gravy running down.

Toerag called the waiter and he said, "I'll have that plate."
The waiter shook his head and said, "I'm sorry. You're too late.
We only serve that plate one time each day, my good senor.
It is the special of the house that we are famous for."

"You see, there is a bullfight at the plaza every day.
We take the loser's testicles and cook them up that way.
One lucky patron has the right to choose this delicasy
For it is known to be a source of man's virility."

Toerag screamed, "I want it! I'll be here tomorrow night!
Just get those bull balls ready and I'll eat them in one bite!"
That night Toe dreamed of matadors and wild, ferocious beasts
The hurried to the restaurant to enjoy his special feast.

The waiter brought the plate out....that same bed of snow-white rice
With noodles placed on top which made the dish look very nice.
Two meatballs sat on top, all gravy-covered golden brown
But, at the size of them, Toe's face collapsed into a frown.

The tone in Toerag's voice held anger he could not disguise.
"Those meatballs yesterday were huge. These are one third that size!!"
The waiter did his best to hold back several silly grins
And said, "I'm sorry, sir. Sometimes it is the bull that wins!!"

Yanno...I just knew...

shaking my head, and I can tell you this, but I winced just reading the title!
And I do mean that as compliment.

Where do you find your inspiration???

Loved this, 'deer!

Whoaaaaa...... haha... unlike Serenity, I never saw that coming.  I guess I'm still a naive kid when it comes down to it, aren't I?

I'd also like to know where you get the inspiration for this stuff, 'Deer.

Well done as usual.  I wish I could borrow your talents for a day or two.

Curious... did it happen to come in a light bouillabaisse sauce?

For this very reason...many people call Toerag the "Bull" and Balladeer a matador...but, this is a great "fantasy" you've come up with here Balladeer....I hate you yanno?...

Where do I get my inspiration? I think Toe - I think bull. I think Toe - I think nuts. Done deal!

Sy, I'm always the matador where Toerag is concerned

LongJohn? Beats me. I guess fear and common sense is keeping him away!!

Thanks, everyone, for enjoying our little bull sessions

My wife used to call me, her Matador...

Or was that her, “Door Matt”

???

...It was one of those?

Maybe because I liked to use her, Oil Of Ole’ so much?

I know... sorry

lol

Michael (I'm not  EVEN  going to write down the little nick name for Balladeer that was a misprint for someone a few months ago....even though it would fit  very  nicely here. Don't you think, Toe??)

Anyway, Karen, I saw that coming, too. And,  Michael  thank you so much for explaining how you get your inspiration. That was very informative....and very funny, too, I might add!!  LOL

Ya'll are so funny. Hey, doesn't LJ like us anymore?? He hasn't been here for a while, has he....or is he here but just being silent??

I'm so glad that ya'll love each other so much.
Hugs,
Ethel
