As my humble mind slips to images of hard steel
Tracks in endless trail laid down, a travelers note
And soft cotillion gown exposed the bud of me
To the world and to you

Steam whistled through the air, raising shivers on skin
As we approached the mountain, just there upon the leather seats
Your face contorted in an almost painful anticipation
And fortitude and might took over

As virgin coal was thrown to the furnace of a powerful engine
The whistle blew and we approached the peak
And suddenly, in freight train lurch, the crest
To find, we were flying

But, of course you already know I am a sucker for
trains....have written many words about
trains rides....  Excellent....fly the
rails...as a whistle blows and echoes round
the bend..
