Agreements I cried a river of tears that led from me to you; Then tried to chart a course for my return I would ensue. But the river became an ocean and the distance between us grew; yet, my little raft was unable to navigate my return to you. The further that I traveled and with every new days' sail; made me a little more able to accept my life should I fail. Alas, I reached an island I charted somewhere in between; And baptized it "Agreements" that were made between you and me. Its' a place of inner peace that comes from just knowing that the distance between us is joined by friendship and inner growing. It is funny, I began a poem this afternoon about "agreements." Maybe you wrote it instead and I can move on. *laugh* Thank you for sharing this. |

Maybe someday we can bridge the ocean... but until then we'd better be satisfied with the island. “We are all travelers in the wilderness of this world, and the best that we can find in our travels is an honest friend.” –Robert Louis Stevenson |
