Chilly

Her skin has the taste of warm milk
Cooled with the splash of an ice cube
'Cause that's what she is
She's cold
But perfect on a hot day.
She's bitter,
But talks with the sweetest love
Without a single spoken word.
She's angry
But smiles with the cartoons on tv
She's a woman who can't shake the scent of flowers
Of the little girl she once was
And I pay her rent.

But aren't we all
the finest of conundrums?
