I'm back for brief ins and outs, today, but when school's out...more.

The Scent of a Life

lovely locust blossoms,
as you hang from sweetest limbs
and waft a lovely blessing
to the senses of Earth’s men

may we each do likewise
in the aromas of our beings
raise a sweet ambrosia
to our lovely, blessed King

and as they toil not
yet give beauty that is rare
may we, through our endeavors,
show His awesome, loving care

for in the wonder of our existence
the choices that come our way
may we give beauty its full chance
as we spend each priceless day

oh, Father of us all,
Creator of this universe,
may our hearts be truly yours
and rise above first Adam’s curse

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

Great to see you posting! Teaching is a very demanding profession and I look forward to the summer when you have more time to write and post! You've been missed! Lovely poem! Makes me feel warm and happy.

Lovin' hugs,
Linda
