She gazes up into his eyes
and once more asks him to stay
begs him to stay
praying this time he'll change his mind
as his eyes wander from her face to the floor
she knows to expect the worse
he puts his hands in his pockets
hunches his shoulders down
and very softly whispers "I'm Sorry"
his eyes never leave the floor
as he walks out the door
and out of her life...forever
her knees give in as she drops to the floor
she bows her head
with her shoulders hunched down
as tears pour down her face
she gazes up at the door
calls out his name
and softly whispers "I'm Sorry"
