13.04.02 If I close my eyes Will it all go away And if I plug my ears Will the lies disappear And what would happen If I were to lie down Would this shrouding heartache Still be around I just want To obtain the cure To my misfortune The writing on the wall Isn't so clear anymore And misery's number Always seems to be tatooed On all the bathroom stalls So how come It follows me Everywhere I go Angels can you hear me I just want to go back home Back into loving arms to forever cradle My broken heart My shattered dreams And to kiss away My soul piercing screams I'm ever so tired So if I close my eyes Will it all go away And if I open up my heart again Will love be standing there outside my bedroom door Waiting, greeting me with open arms If at first you don't succeed destroy all the evidence that you tried. an achingly beautiful write... the emotions reach out to the reader. so good to see you posting again poetess Ceinwyn. I refuse to accept that mankind is so tragically bound to the starless midnight of racism & war that the daybreak of peace can never be reality. |

You certainly write extremely well when you are in pain--and you don't write half bad when you're happy either. You just did a number on my harp strings! Gosh, I wish I could just give you a magic pill and everything would be alright in your world. Howsabout a man! I'll wave my magic wand...Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh! ...Sir Toe is now at your beck and call! Warm hugs, EA |

Wonderful rhythm in this very beautiful and very touching piece. The pain is felt. May it fade ... Love, Margherita |

Definitely catches in one's soul, my friend. Well done. And I think that love IS waiting outside the bedroom door when one is truly "ready" to open said door and accept the warmth of the "new" sunrise... jwesley |

Kris, this is a painfully beautiful write. It felt like it was straight from your heart. Heart hugs to you, Ethel |

Yes, it will go away, and yes, love will be waiting.... probably not this particular time, but A time, if you are ready. This an intrigueing piece of poetry; the overarching sadness of it just turns the heart in so many directions at once.... ....one hint though...the only way I can read that color is to highlight the text so it turns dark-on-white.....this one well worth that little effort! ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸ ¸¸ºº> ~~~(¸¸ER¸¸ºº> |
